Shatta Wale is no new name or face to controversies as he is undoubtedly the only artiste who thrives off the hullabaloo anytime he sparks something up. Aside from doing a lot for the industry which includes projecting the Ghana music industry to the world, he has been a long nemesis of the same industry he has helped as he has been consistent with his claims of the industry not doing enough to support him and his vision of where he wants to send the industry. Let’s throw it back to the days of his very well-documented public beef with Charter House who by the way are one of the biggest entertainment havens in the country with award shows and music-oriented initiatives.
The back and forth between Shatta Wale and Charter House would lead to the former being banned from any events that have to do with the latter. The two parties have since ceased fire and although both don’t sit to have a cup of tea, the relationship is now that of cordiality for the sake of the industry’s growth but that is just a sneak peek into the bodacious persona of Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale, as controversial as he is, doesn’t deter from appreciating and celebrating the wins of fellow colleague artists but isn’t scared on any day giving his honest opinion on the state of affairs and doesn’t care about offending anyone in the process of speaking his mind to issues which is another reason why he is often labelled as an ‘Arrogant artiste’. The one thing about Shatta Wale is he is never going to be distracted in dropping hit songs as he is, without doubt, one of the biggest artists in Ghana alongside Sarkodie and Stonebwoy.
