Shatta Wale, the award-winning dancehall heavyweight has addressed the reason why he is yet to do a tribute song for a man who was a well-known fan of his, Christian Atsu.

Shatta Wale in an interview stated “I have heard people ask why I haven’t done a song for Christian Atsu as I have done in the past. I know I have done songs to honour some personalities in the past including the late Major Mahama. I haven’t been able to do it for Atsu because his death has hit me so sad and it has affected my ability to write a song for him”

The JJC hitmaker would then go ahead to vent his anger at the media for not giving light to all he did whilst he was alive “God will punish you media people for waiting for him to die before making Ghanaians known the good deeds that he was doing. All the charity works he did, you couldn’t talk about it but now doing it because he is dead”

Shatta Wale usually makes the headlines for mixed reasons and was recently in the news for attacking media personality Andy Dosty during a performance in Takoradi “Sometimes, when I speak my mind, people ask me why I do. Recently I was listening to radio and I heard Andy Dosty interviewing Ameyaw Debrah. Ameyaw Debrah said I threatened to kill him. So Andy Dosty, you kept asking whether he didn’t feel threatened. Herh Andy Dosty, you’re a fool”

The dancehall heavyweight would also zero in on why he is sometimes controversial when addressing National issues sighting his patriotism and passion as the main reason why he says the things he does when speaking to issues.

Shatta Wale’s public reaction to Sarkodie’s feature on the cover of legendary Reggae group ‘The Wailers’ Stir it up song ‘I don’t think it should be a problem. As we hear, Sarkodie has featured Bob Marley. It’s so beautiful, at least we have someone who has featured a ghost, we should praise him’
