Suspected killers of slain soldier to appear in court today

The Ghana Police Service, will today, March 13, 2023 arraign suspects linked to the killing of Imoro Sheriff, a 22-year-old soldier before the court.

According to a police statement, a total of six suspects have been arrested by the police through an intelligence-led operation.

The suspects, Safianu Musah alias Dayorgu and Ibrahim Abdul Rakib, were apparently nabbed on March 9 in their hideouts in Ashaiman after nearly a week of sustained intelligence-led operations, according to the police.

Parts of the statement read “the Police arrested suspects Safianu Musah alias Dayorgu and Ibrahim Abdul Rakib at their hideouts in Ashaiman. Two suspects, Samuel Tetteh alias Wiper and Abubakar Sadick alias Birdman were arrested at their hideout on 10th March 2023. Two additional suspects Yussif Mohammed and Abdul Gafaru Abdul Karim were arrested on 11th March and 12th March 2023 respectively,”

“We would like to assure the public, especially the family of the deceased, that all the suspects are in Police custody and will be put before the court on Monday, 13th March 2023 to face justice,” the Police added.
