The mid-year budget presentation in Parliament has been postponed.

The presentation by the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, was scheduled to be delivered on the floor of the House on Tuesday, July 25.

Last Friday, there was a squabble in Parliament about the scheduled date of the presentation, as government wanted it done on Thursday, July 27.

But the whole exercise, said to be in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921) and Regulation 24 of the Public Financial Management Regulations (L.I. 2378), has been adjourned to Monday, July 31.

The presentation is a review of the government’s 2023 Economic Policy and Financial Statement delivered to Parliament by Mr Ofori-Atta.
