The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and 2020 Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama has called on the Electoral Commission not to make any attempt to ‘steal’ the elections.
While speaking in a press conference held by the NDC after a press statement circulated indicating that he had accepted his defeat and congratulated the incumbent, President Akufo-Addo.
He stated categorically that he has not congratulated any person. Instead he thanked Ghanaians for voting for a change.
Meanwhile, Mahama accused the EC of attempting to subvert the will of Ghanaians by trying to declare Akufo-Addo and the NPP as winners of the 2020 Elections.
He warned that the NDC will resist any attempt by the EC to overthrow the will of Ghanaians by calling Akufo-Addo the winner.
He also claimed that the NDC has won a total of 140 seats to have the majority in Parliament.
In addition to that Mahama says figures show that the NDC has won in 10 out of the 16 regions. Therefore, he has won the election.
