Al Nassr have confirmed that they have parted ways with manager Rudi Garcia following reports that Cristiano Ronaldo voiced frustration towards working under the boss.

Garcia joined Al Nassr during the summer, six months before Ronaldo’s move from Manchester United, but has struggled to get the best out of the Portugal international.

Ronaldo did manage 11 goals in ten games under Garcia, but all those goals came across five games and Al Nassr have even slipped off the top of the table following the recent 0-0 draw with Al Feiha which kick-started the boss’ departure.

Reports quickly emerged after the game that Ronaldo was not happy with Garcia’s tactics and had made his frustrations known, and Al Nassr now appear to have sided with the superstar forward.

“Al Nassr can announce that Head Coach Rudi Garcia has left the Club by mutual agreement,” a statement read. “The board and everyone at Al Nassr would like to thank Rudi and his staff for their dedicated work during the past 8 months.”

As of now, it is unclear who will replace Garcia at Al Nassr, although reports have suggested that a big-money offer to make Jose Mourinho the best-paid manager on the planet could be imminent.

Spanish outlet AS even state that the offer to Mourinho would include a route to coach the Saudi Arabian national team. The boss has long been interested in a transition to national team management, although whether he’d be keen on such an offer is not known.
