A part of the ceiling at the Kumasi City Mall has caved in, Tuesday morning.
According to Nhyira FM’s Nana Asenso Mensah, the ceiling at the phase that house the GAME
shop collapsed rapidly earlier than the scheduled time for the store to open.
There Is no casualties, Asenso reports.
National Disaster Management Organisation officers (NADMO) were busily clearing the particles from the scene of the incident and the mall has been closed for commercial enterprise briefly, the reporter informed Super Morning Show host, Daniel Dadzie.
The NADMO officials are urging the general public not to panic because the situation has been added underneath control, the reporter introduced.
It is the second incident of such an incident has been recorded at a public shopping centre in months.
In October, part of the ceiling at Electronic Hub of the on the Accra Mall tumbled, injuring shoppers.
Meanwhile, investigations have all started into the motive of the Kumasi incident while the structural integrity of the facility is likewise being assessed.
