The 2020 Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has rejected meeting with the National Peace Council ahead of the declaration of the 2020 general results by the Electoral Commission.
In an election programme on TV3’s Election Command Centre on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, Mahama was said to have absented himself from the meeting.
TV3 reporter Komla Klutse who is stationed at the Cantonment office of Mahama reveals that the running mate of Mahama, Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, the former National Security boss, Larry Gbevlo Lartey, and other NDC personalities were the ones at the meeting.
Mahama is said to have absented himself from the meeting because he believes the peace council should rather meet with the NPP and not the NDC.
Meanwhile, Mahama had earlier yesterday, December 8, accused the EC of attempting to subvert the will of Ghanaians by trying to declare Akufo-Addo and the NPP as winners of the 2020 Elections.
He warned that the NDC will resist any attempt by the EC to overthrow the will of Ghanaians by calling Akufo-Addo the winner.
He also claimed that the NDC has won a total of 140 seats to have the majority in Parliament.
In addition to that Mahama indicated that the NDC’s has won 140 majority seats in Parliament.
Therefore, he has won the election.
