Pastor Mensa Otabil, the founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), encourages Ghanaians, with or without the help of friends or families, to move forward in their lives.
This does not mean leaving people, according to Pastor Otabil, but remaining true to one’s ambitions and expectations.
You have to leave certain people behind while looking ahead, people who are stuck in time, people who fail to follow any agenda, topics have to be left behind, “he explained.”
The third part of his sermon was delivered by Pastor Mensa Otabil, ‘What are you chasing after?’ During a virtual service, while others prefer to stand behind, it is important to keep going.
The renowned Pastor listed Lot by referencing outstanding characters in the Bible related to the sermon.
You don’t have to look back, you have to look ahead, and you have to look ahead, “he said,” if you want to go for someone.
Lot has a lot of issues for him. He took the wrong spot with his decisions, lived in the wrong neighborhood, and made a lot of mistakes in his life, but the one thing he did right is that he never looked back.
According to him, they were told to go to the mountains in Genesis 19:17, when Lot and his family were saved from Sodom and Gomorrah, and they never looked back.
But his wife, unlike him, did that and became a pillar of salt.
Through emphasizing his loyalty and restraint, he praised the Biblical figure.
You can imagine, think of it, the intense discipline that Ton needed not to look back.
He’s a man with tremendous control, a man close to you, your companion, who flies with you, turns her back and becomes a pillar with salt, and says, ‘I’m not going to look back; that’s intense discipline.’
“He said,” Lot made several mistakes, but he understood how to rely on the future.
The motivational speaker took the moment not to look back, but to inspire someone to escape from something.
People who have nothing to chase for, live life without urgency, live life happily because their lives are not disturbed by anything, there is nothing to pursue them.
There is nothing that lets them wake up and feel that there is no sense of urgency in their life if they don’t act and they’re going to die. Yet you have something after you, you’re going and you don’t look back.
