Legon Cities coach Bashiru Hayford has highly praised his team for their outstanding performance in the draw game against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
They were denied all three points after a late Kwadjo Obeng Jnr goal canceled Jonah Attuquaye’s 19-minute opener for Legon Cities.
Despite going into the game with most of their starters absent, Bashiru Hayford was full of praise for his team.
“Yes fair result,” he said. “Honestly the goal came when we thought we had finished the game but that is football, the slightest mistake you make you are punished and I think that is what happened,” he added.
“We thank God for that because we came in as underdogs and judging from the strength of my team, seven from the starting line up were missing.
“I started five players who have not been starting regularly and they did very well.”
The Royals are now on a run of four games with defeat after a terrible start to the campaign.
