In Covid-19, Ghana has once again achieved yet another terrible milestone.
Currently, the country has about 700 new infections every day on average, while “the hospitals are now full and our centers must be reactivated.”
This was revealed by President Akufo-Addo during his 23rd address to the nation on the measure adopted by the govenrnment to combat the spread of the novel Covid-19.
“Our average daily rates of infection now stand at 700, compared to 200 two weeks ago. The total number of active cases has more than doubled, from a little over 1,900, two weeks ago, to 5,358 currently,” he told the nation Sunday night.
The President also announced in a televised address that “the number of people who are now severely ill and are growing at the hospitalisation rate are172 .”
Today, all regions across the counrty have reported active cases with 416 dead so far.
Ghana now has 5,358 active cases with “the number of critically and severely ill persons now at 172.”
While announcing the reestablishment of some restrictions, he advise the citizenry to guarantee compliance with all health protocols, as the government is trying to stop the spread of the virus.
