Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has lost his father.
Dr. Akwasi Jones Amoako Atta Ofori-Atta died on Monday, November 30, 2020 in the United Kingdom (UK).
A member of Parliament (MP) for Begoro in the 1960s, on the ticket of the Progress Party, in the second republic, Dr. Ofori-Atta was an economist lecturer at the University of Manchester, UK.
In 1996, he contested for the flagbearership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He was the uncle of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
