Major parts of the Greater Accra region experienced series of interruptions in its power supply last night.
On Saturday April 3, 2021, at about 11pm, there was an intermittent blackout in Accra.
According to a press statement released by the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo), it stated that there was a conductor on the Tema-Accra East transmission that fell at Trassaco leading to the power outages in major parts of Accra.
“Power supply has, however been reduced to 50% in areas around Trassaco as the team works to permanently fix the fault” the statement added.
