Fairness And Justice Must Be Demonstrated – Rawlings Advocates

Former Millitary President, Jerry John Rawlings has spoken on the deployment of millitary men in the Oti region and Volta to be precise.
The NPP government has said that the sudden deployment of soldiers in the Ketu South is purposely to prevent close neighbouring citizens like the Togolese from crossing over into Ghana to take part in the upcoming voter registration exercise.

The exercise is set to begin Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

In a post sighted by www.bibinionline.com on his Twitter page, he said the presence of the military and other security agencies in some parts of the Volta and Oti Regions is generating animosity especially amongst innocent citizens whose basic way of life is being disrupted.

In the statement, Rawlings said the deployment of the military is creating so much suspicion.

He further stressed on the COVID-19 restrictions, saying that it has created enough difficulties for most of our citizens.

He advises that, government and individuals should demonstrate fairness and justice ahead of the new voter’s registration exercise for December 2020 elections.
