The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) is expected to hold an early vote on Tuesday, December 1, for electors who work on election day.
The Special Voting exercise is intended for electors who are unable to vote at the polling stations where they voted on election day as a result of their duties on election day.
Among them are election officers, defense officers, and media professionals who may operate on election day outside their control.
In a statement on Friday 2 October, the Commission demanded lists of electors in this group, in compliance with the 2020 Public Elections Rules, CI 127.
It is required that these groups of voters will apply their voting ID card data to the Director of IT Projects at the EC headquarters no later than Thursday 15 October.
“Lists received after October 15th, 2020 shall not be processed.”
On Monday, December 7, the major elections, both legislative and presidential, will be held.
