In the aftermath of COVID-19, the government has extended the free water package to the end of the year, the Water and Sanitation Ministry announced in a tweet.
The statement noted the move to enable Ghanaians in the fight against the deadly virus to continue with the handwashing protocol.
It urged Ghanaians, however, to be wise in the water of water.
So far, since the outbreak in Ghana, 294 Ghanaians have died of the virus. The total number of cases confirmed was 45,601.
However, active incidents remain at 628 with 44, 679 recoveries / discharges.
There are no active cases in four countries, including the Upper East , North East, Savannah, and Northern regions.
