Mrs. Theresa Ayoade, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Charterhouse, has confirmed that the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) is set to happen in August.

Regardless of the likely challenges, her team was planning to offer the greatest entertainment to their audience in August.
She stated some difficult challenges at hand;
Mrs. Theresa informed Accra-based Joy FM, “The challenges of putting together logistics and not being sure of expected revenue is a real issue. In normal times, we will have been able to sell up to 4,000 tickets in VGMA-related events, but it is not so now”.
As organizers, Charterhouse was expecting to use the digital space and new strategies for events set forth by the Tourism Ministry.
The 2020 VGMAs will have a live audience, observing social-distancing and health protocols unlike the just-ended 3Music Awards which was a virtual event, she added.
She continued by saying that, preparations for a virtual alternative was ongoing to help grounded Ghanaian artistes and audiences in foreign countries.
