The signing of striker Luis Suarez from La Liga rivals Barcelona has been completed by Atletico Madrid.
Since completing his medical, the Uruguay international signed a two-year deal with the club on Friday.
In 2014, the 33-year-old joined Barca from Liverpool, winning the Champions League trophy in Spain in his first season.
In 283 games for the club, Suarez has led Barca to four league titles, scoring 198 goals.
For Suarez, the third highest goal scorer in the history of Barcelona, Atleti paid a nominal fee of no more than EUR 6 m.
Barca spent £ 74 m to sign Liverpool’s Suarez, but last month their new coach Ronald Koeman told the Uruguayan that he was not in his plans.
A transfer to Italian champions Juventus was decided by the former Ajax striker, but due to visa problems, the agreement fell through.
At a news conference on Thursday, Luis Suarez brushed away tears as he said goodbye to Barca.
