Politician and General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito has lamented over the demise of his bosom friend, Sir John.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia disclosed that he was flooded with tears by the death of the former NPP General Secretary, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, well known as Sir John.
Speaking on Okay FM monitored by www.bibinionline.com, Asiedu Nketia narrated how Sir John came to live with him and helped him with his funeral preparations to mourn his deceased mother.
“I was deeply touched when Sir John came to stay with me for 3 days after the death of my mother… he could have stayed in a hotel when everyone else had left but he came to live in my house. We ate the same food and did a lot of things together” he stated.
He added that, the Pentecostal pastor who officiated the funeral, as well as sympathisers who were present, were amazed by his gesture.
Athough I knew death would eventually come, but I didn’t forsee it would take you this soon, let alone the novel coronavirus. Mr. Asiedu Nketia noted.
