Mrs Akua Donkor, member and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), was cleared to contest the December 7 presidential polls by the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC).
Among the 12 aspirants cleared by the EC to contest the eighth presidential election of the Fourth Republic, she was elected.
On Monday, 19 October, addressing journalists, EC Chair Jean Adukwei Mensa said that, despite not getting IT issues with her nomination forms, some of her witnesses in Bawku and Asutifi South, for example, had problems with their paper evidence.
But this was settled, Mrs. Mensa said, and on Monday, December 7, the former Assemblywoman was cleared to be one of the 12 candidates to fight it out for president.
