Ahafo Region’s Abena was beaten to the motorcycle, crown and GHS 2,000 more by the former student of Central University and the Ghana Institute of Journalism as she got a cheque for GHS10,000 as her cash prize on Sunday, September 20.
Kafui of the Volta Region finished third, while Zuzu of the Northern Region was fourth. Talata’s Upper East Region and Afriyie ‘s Central Region were fifth and sixth, respectively.
As the final of the most successful beauty reality show in Ghana was held for many years in TV3 ‘s Studio B, it was a night of glitz and glamour.
Under strict Covid-19 protocols, it was held.
Nonetheless, Naa ensured the return of the crown from the Central Region to the capital region, which Ekua Mends Bannerman won in 2019.
As the finalists, in the first round, promoted the need for unity without recourse to one language, Naa ‘s success began as the fifth on the night.
She pressed home the fact that Ghana already has whatever it needs for development “and the key to the nation’s development is our attitude and mindset and not nationalizing one language.”
She continued to be a survivor of political violence in the second round, which concentrated on reconciliation ahead of the polls.
She emphasized that democracy would flourish if the people are united.
“Our democracy is meant to work, our peace is up to us, and let us rise above and stand together.”
She answered a question in the third and final round about the condition of the current government ‘s Free Senior High School policy, a pledge much spoken about by the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) when in opposition.
In this year’s broadcast, the three-time Star Performer gave the program thumbs-up but called for the smoothening of the rough edges with regard to the double-track policy to which it has degenerated.
Naa got the crown from heaven at the end, when the enveloping results fell from the skies.
In addition to that piece of silverware and the vehicle, she will also embark on an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai, one year of free supply of GTP goods and one year of AirtelTigo airtime supply.
Abena’s first runner-up will earn GH 8,000 as her cash prize.
The final was honored by award-winning musicians KiDi, Praye, Adina, and Optional King, winner of Mentor Reloaded, who with their performances set the stage alight.
