A leading member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, has described the party’s performance in the just-ended general election as depressing.
According to the deputy general secretary, personally, he wasn’t impressed with the outcome of the polls despite the flagbearer of the NPP winning the presidential race.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Happy FM, Mr. Boahen lamented how the party’s absolute majority in parliamentary vanished in the just-ended election.
He said that, “There is a problem. If our parliamentary seats have reduced, will you say we have done well?”
